Happy Birthday to me! next year I will plan my ensemble ahead of time so I can wear something funky like one of these.
Well Followers... I am off to have some wine and pizza to celebrate with my guy. A quiet B-day celebration, but a good one!

McQueen Shoes for Fall 2011

Sarah Burton has done a wonderful job of filling some very BIG shoes following a very heartbreaking circumstance! You go Girl! She is an inspiration to women all over as she proves that you can channel your sadness and grief into your creative source of power. Working close to Alexander for so long allowed her to step into his designer shoes and deliver designs that make us think that maybe he is speaking to her from beyond the grave! You go Sarah!

Long Skirts, Why? I ask...Why NOT? YAY!!!

    Picture from: http://couturecarrie.blogspot.com
A Jil Sander runway look. Colors can pop because of the simple design and perfect cuts. This will suit any body type. Food for thought: What a comfortable travel outfit! Perfect for anywhere!

One of the Olsen twins rocking out her skirt with a pair of biker boots and a leather jacket. With the always famous Olsen unkempt hair.

Or you can pick a black that has a little more of a design element to it with an interesting cut/bunching. This would also actually be a relatively easy DIY project if you wanted to alter with a needle and thread.

The more fabric the more edgy it seems, which might seem a bit counter intuitive for some. This is a piece that you will be able to dress up for a ball ("Because every pretty girl deserves to go to a ball." -Yes Man Quote) Or you can keep it simple. This piece has a very international feel to me, and is a great design to accentuate a skinny torso too as the bulk of your ensemble will be at the bottom.

Dress it up, dress it down, dress it funky and spunky and pretty and nice!

Maybe items more tailored pull at your fashion heart strings. Worry not my fine friend. This is a piece than can provide diversity, but I would like to most dress it up with a little fitted polo shirt, some kick-ass stilettos and some red lipstick for a very simple, vintage look. As this is a pencil skirt that falls a little longer than most, giving you the possibility to rock the vintage flair we all know and love so well!

Always a good idea to keep something fitted up top and then match the flow of the skirt with some chunky accessories. That can be a chunky bag, some chunky bangles or you can wear an over sized bun on your head by adding some extensions paired with some chunky black winged eye liner, chunky clogs, over sized earrings.Surprise us! I double-dog-dear you! HE HE HE!

This piece isn't floor kissing, but is a piece that I couldn't resist as it is a cool piece to add to maybe a work wardrobe! Fun! Fun! (Note of warning: Maybe stay away from shinny fabrics like in the picture with this cut, as it might make items look larger than they actually are).
    Picture from: refinery29.com
Absolutely love these cuts! Playful and serious seemingly at the same time!

Bohemian Chic. Comfy, cozy and fun all at the same time! YAY for Skirts, the new baggy pant!

Ca-rayze for Stilettos

When thinking about a nude pump, think soft pink with some spunk, this color goes great with all skin tones and acts as a great neutral to lengthen the leg and match any ensemble. Plus, the cut and design keeps this shoe from being anything but ordinary!
These are Nicholas Kirkwood shoes and are made in Italy. $1,330

This is inspires a DIY idea for me. You could paint your shoes yourself, put decals or have a friend who is especially art savvy to assist you with a sketch. Or if you want to keep it simple, maybe paint the bottom a solid color that brings out the beauty of your shoe.

Can I EVEN BEGIN to tell you how much I absolutely ADORE these wedges! Be-still my beating fashion heart!
These are Lanvin Resort 2011 Collection Shoes that go for about $ 1,280.00.
I guess a girl can dream, and sometimes that all she can do! But at least I enjoy the ride, right?!?!
    Sweet dreams ladies and gents!
