Knotty Affairs On TV

    Knotty Affairs On TV

With a brand new show all set to hit TV, we decided to take a look at which wedding shows have been popular on Indian and firangi TV channels!

    1. Shaadi 3 Crore Ki
Weddings are set to become bigger on the small screen, with the new reality show, Shaadi 3 Crore Ki. It will be aired by Imagine channel, starting February 28 from Monday to Thursday from 9 to 10 pm.. The show will be hosted by Mona Singh and Ali Asgar.
    2. Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai
In 2002, when Madhuri Dixit made a much-hyped debut on the small screen with the wedding reality show, 'Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai', the celebrations ended quickly. The concept failed to catch on and the show tanked.

    3. Rakhi Ka Swaymvar
Who can forget this show which was the baap of all wedding shows in Indian TV? With the ultimate drama queen doing her daily dramas, this show rocked the TRPs! Of course Rakhee never did marry, and that was a big let down.

    4. Rahul Dulhaniaya Le Jayega
This was followed by Rahul Mahajan doing a similar act, again on NDTV. Now who would want to marry Rahul Mahajan? But apparently girls did! Dimpy, was the lucky one to win the dulha!

    5. The Bachelor
The Swaymwar concept was based on the series, The Bachelor, The series revolves around a single bachelor (deemed eligible) and a pool of romantic interests (typically 25), which possibly includes a potential wife for the bachelor. The conflicts in the series, both internal and external, stem from the elimination-style format of the show.

    6. The Bachelorette
The Bachelorette is a spin-off of the American competitive reality dating game show, The Bachelor. In its January 2003 debut on ABC, the first season featured Trista Rehn, the runner-up date from the first season of The Bachelor, offering the opportunity for Rehn to choose a husband among 25 bachelors. The show has had 6 seasons.

    7. For Better or For Worse
Couples allow their family, friends, and a wedding planner they never met to plan every detail of their big day. (The bride doesn't even get to choose her dress.) If that wasn't enough stress for everyone involved, weddings must be planned in one week - on a $5,000 budget!

    8. Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?
'Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?' follows stressed-out wedding planners as they try to pull off picture-perfect weddings for their clients. You'll have new respect for the profession after watching this show.
